This review is from: Sungale 7-Inch Collage Digital Photo FrameI purchased this frame from Borders two days ago because 1) it was 59.99 or so, 2) there were limited quantities, 3) I'd never seen a digital photo collage frame. I have to admit that this was a rash purchase right before I headed to the register. I was under the impression that all 4 of the openings were for digital images. When I got home I discovered that it was only one. Well, I tried it out anyway and I'm actually pretty satisfied in spite of my initial reaction. I've found that the stand on the back really isn't that unstable. And if for some reason the digital frame stops working after the warranty, I can still use it to place 4 still pictures in the openings. The three still images idea isn't so bad because even if the digital frame is turned off it is more interesting than a plain black square sitting in my living room. The speakers can get surprisingly loud, which was impressive. The one downfall I've found is that the frame will only read one type of media at a time. Even if both are plugged in (ie a SD and flash drive) it will only show pictures/play music from one. It will not switch to the other once it has cycled through. Also, the music sometimes skips or the picture gets stuck...but not very often. [...]...

This review is from: Sungale 7-Inch Collage Digital Photo FrameI was very reluctant to buy a digital photo frame in the past because it seemed like the price range was so varied, I could never tell if I was getting a good deal or not. Too many styles, too many varieties, differing capacity, etc. It was just too confusing. Then, I came across this one in an e-mail offer from Borders for Black Friday. They had this model for $59.99 (I did not know the full price on here yet and were trusting them that it was marked 50% off). Well, I got this home and I must say it is easy to use considering this was my first digital frame. I first put in the three still pictures to see how it would look and there was the first problem, the frame stands almost at 90 degrees upright. While I know it won't fall over on its own, it seems to unstable. The stand in the back is not flexible at all and I already put a crack in it trying to move it. Then I loaded up a few digital pictures. This model doesn't seem to hold as many as other models I've seen but I don't have a problem with that. I don't need to cycle through 1000 photos. Right now, I only have 7 pictures up from 4 the other day. Obviously, it holds more but I wouldn't get this model for its capacity (only 15 photos for internal memory). It does support a wide variety of external memory though for increased capacity. Now, for the big problem.....the metal faceplate is already coming off. I can't tell if it is goimg to come off more or not and I'm sure I can glue it back on but this is completely unacceptable to me. Even though the average person won't notice it when they walk by, my eyes are now drawn to it every time I see it. Unfortunately, I threw away the big bulky box it came in since I figured, "it's just a frame, what could happen?", and the fact that it worked fine out of the box. Now, I can't return/exchange it. So, why not 1 star or 2 stars? Well, quite frankly, this is the only frame I have seen like this and while I am sure there are others out there, I have not come across them so it would really get 5 stars for being unique a really nice looking frame and then 1 star for the quality issues. Also, I like the fact that this until also plays music while cycling through the pictures. I've got some great music that fits the photo display mode perfectly and getting music on the USB is just as easy as getting pictures. I plead ignorance on whether other digital frames play music also.A very mixed bag. Recommended only at a discount price....
