This review is from: HP df808c1 8-Inch Digital Picture FrameAmazon has a Great Price on this Digital Picture Frame, it is well worth the money, has great features like MP3, Alarm & Calendar, Video Playback,User Friendly Menu, looks expensive, 128mb of interal stornage, much better picture then comps in the same price range. We bought 4 of these forChristmas gifts and all of them work great and no problems. Would give it 5 stars if it had more internal storage but most in this price rangedon't have any and won't play music. We have a Sony 7" and the picture isn't any better on it and the Sony doesn't play music for the sameprice....

This review is from: HP df808c1 8-Inch Digital Picture FrameIts an 8", 4:3, 800x600 resolution digital photo frame. The picture quality is good, colors are vibrant and brightness is good enough for easy viewing even in brightest of spots in your home. The horizontal viewing angle is pretty good and you can view the pictures without too much dimming or distortion up to +/-75 degrees. The vertical viewing angle is not that great, as is the case with most LCD displays. So you'll need to place it smartly to ensure a good vertical viewing angle. The frame can be oriented both in landscape and portrait modes. The menus and settings are pretty intuitive and can be controlled either from the on-board buttons or using the included IR remote. It plays most video formats (I've tried avi and mpeg) and the video quality and sound is excellent. It can also play music (wav, mp3) as a background to the picture slideshow. There's a built in calendar and alarm clock but I haven't really used those features much. It can accept almost any flash based memory card. There are a number of possible display options for your pictures. It can either cycle through all the pictures in the order in which they are stored in memory. Or, it can cycle through the pictures randomly (we use this the most often). There is also an option to manually cycle through the pictures, if you may want to. There are a number of transition effects but fade and brick are probably two of the best. The time delay between each picture is also user adjustable from 5 seconds to a week. The description on Amazon is however a little inaccurate since it can't directly accept a USB thumb drive. There is a micro-USB slot on the frame and my guess is that it should be able to plug in a USB drive using a micro-USB to USB conversion cable but I haven't really tested it yet. I'm pretty happy with it and would recommend to anyone looking for a moderately priced, simple to use, digital photo frame....
