It's very sleek and pretty, but I was first disappointed by the plastic twist-on stand piece (other model had metal stand.) I'm not sure how it will hold up if the frame is repeatedly moved by my kids or set down firmly. 2nd con: I had to read the directions a couple of times to understand the use of features. I'm not terribly tech-savvy, so i'm still trying to figure out some of the terms used. The remote didn't seem to work until I finally figured out you have to point it ONLY at the bottom right corner. This is not stated anywhere, nor is there an outward indication that that is where the sensor is located. RE: CD-ROM- you have to know what you're doing to figure out which file to open to access the direction on the disk, but it doesn't seem to have anything not included in the paper manual.Pros: you can upload videos and your own background music, haven't tried that yet. Simple and advanced optioned for auto on/off.This is a beautiful looking frame. The only thing I would add would be a place to attach the remote....

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and appearance. Nice features all around, fairly easy to learn the ropes with some patience and a few peeks at the Owner's Manual. If you're stepping up from a 7" this D1020 is the ticket. Very pleased......

I just stuck a filled photo card into the slot and it played away. I turned off the music. I didn't load the photos or input my own music, but both directions appeared to be easy. I've given this twice as a present and everyone, even the bystanders, loved it....
