They enjoyed using this frame throughout the summer, then put it away in the fall. The frame sat on a kitchen counter and did not experience impact, moisture or extreme temperature changes. When we got the frame out to display for Christmas, 2009, it would turn on and receive power, but the LCD screen did not turn on. After trying new batteries in the remote control and looking for a reset button, I emailed technical support at [...]. After 10 days, I still had NOT received a response, so I called technical support in India at [...] and was finally able to talk to someone. Unfortunately, because it was out of the 90 day warranty, there was nothing they or their managers could do.Conclusion: If you choose to buy Mustek, be prepared to shell out more for the extended warranty because my experience so far with their products is that they will only last 6 months even if they are NOT being used....

I stored the frame in its original box and packaging for a few months until I was ready to begin using it. I turned it on for the first time to load photos. It seemed to be working fine. Then it told me that I needed to reset. I could not find a reset button, so I turned it off and then back on. After that, even though the picture frame was receiving power, the LCD screen would not work. It was after the warranty expired, so I guess I just have to throw it away. Huge disappointment....
This review is from: Mustek PF-D853AM 8.0-Inch Digital Photo FrameI bought the product as a gift in December of 2009. Worked fine for the first 4 months. However after that the LCD stopped working. The device still receives power but it is useless. The manufacture only covers 90 day warranty....
