This review is from: eMotion 10.4-Inch Digital Picture Frame with Blue Ambient LightAfter buying this item, eMotion 10.4 Digital Frame w/ Ambient Blue Light" getting it, setting it up - it MIGHT BE nice "IF you .. (I) .. could FIGURE IT OUT"! - I will admit - yes, the basics, after loading a memory card, the unit will show pictures, however, I have noticed as I added more pictures on the memory card, there is NO order as to how they present the playback - even though the pictures are organized in a folder on my computer. (as I would do with photos on an iPod or slideshow on my p.c.) in groups by date (and when the card is in my computer, the pictures display in order of how they were saved as they are added and updated,) when playing through this unit, the pictures come out in "scattered miss-fire order" some are in the "group of pics" where they should be, but there is always some that just pop up out of order totally somewhere else in the playback though when I put the same card somewhere else, (my pc) in the "slide show" display, dose just fine. I have looked all over the "puny little" concept of a instruction book, that is included, (this dose come with a remote control = "NICE!" - but again, NO explanations in the little book? and some keys are obvious, some are NOT as you go to use them, they just send the littl thing into total confusion, most times, the only way to stop it, is to turn the unit off and back on again- "reboot" meanwhile,- another concern, somehow, there is some kind of option of adjusting the lighting & contrast of the display - but "NOT" when you are looking at the picture, (as you would do while adjusting a tv.) so far, all's I can figure out is in the "set up" mode, with no picture feedback display) - because.... the issue- you MUST look at the frame/picture display at "JUST THE RIGHT angle", otherwise, the picture image "washes out" so in other words, the picture image is "NOT VIEWABLE from ALL angles" of a room or setting. As some big screen tv's are) and So, IT suggested if technical problems arise, the manual invites me to come over to their web site, . . . and. . . I have gone to the "Media Street web site, SEVERAL TIMES, found the "help section" it has it's own little "group" of "suggested problems" (no where did I see my product = "10.4 Ambient Blue Light frame" listed) but HEY! in the "contact us" area listed an 888# or toll free (800#) GREAT! I called the number "SEVERAL TIMES!" only to get the "ROBO" recording- "We can't answer you call right now" because were too busy - not a direct quote, but close enough, that is what they are saying - Leave a number and we will get back to you (at our convince)- that's NOT customer service! I think in fairness, (trying here) they have that chat thing offer / option- typing conversations, (especially technical concerns dose NOT work for me, it has taken me forever to try to communicate this - the REASON I AM doing so is THAT perhaps = HOPEFULLY, someone "MIGHT get the idea that they NEED TO be AVAILABLE for their customers?" that is, (IF - THEY VALUE US) = Bottom line, these Products are not cheep, $$$ however, THE SERVICE HELP APPEARS TO BE! and when you buy something and look forward to enjoy and showing it off turns to FRUSTRATION because you can get it to "PLAY NICE" doesn't make you want to show it off or enjoy it - Perhaps, some one who is really smart with computers can figure it out - but someone like me who is limited on those things, has to just SETTLE for for what they get and no help so as I said, it WOULD be nice IF I could figure it out, and did what it was suppose to? meanwhile unless you are computer smart - BEWARE NOT USER FRIENDLY!****UPDATE**** 4/11/11 After still using and trying to understand this "littl GEM" I STILL have not been able to get past my concerns from above, (although it will actually show pictures, but cannot get to do anything else- controls or settings of the correct order of play-back I decided to "give it a shot & try the eMOTION's web site, they list a toll free number GREAT!!!! "888-633-4295" and after 4 times calling (in all FAIRNESS TO eMotion folks" just to make sure I didn't miss dial,) a recording "chimes in" = "The Number you have dialed in NOT IN SERVICE" ? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? ? ? ? ? This company advertises on their website a disconnected number? "IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE????" hey. . . . CHALLENGE TO THE eMOTION sales (& non execitant customer service dept) I've had my nice nifty digital frame for MONTHS now and still HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT Meanwhile, one side of the BLUE Light frame doesn't lite up - so only 3 sides lit) and NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT????. . . . NO ONE TO TALK TO - HELP???? IF this is the reality of eMotion products and services or LACK OF.... - my eMotions are CRUSHED! and CAN NOT SEE myself spending anymore on emotions PRODUCTS. VERY DISAPPOINTED because this COULD BE SUCH a COOL frame IF I could get passed these concerns....
