These were priced well enough to give out as gifts. I opened each up and loaded them with pictures of my friends before sending them off. The manual is written/translated pretty poorly so you're going to have to read it carefully to figure out the meaning of each instruction. Follow the button pushes exactly. I would have given five stars but for the poorly written manual and the fact that the internal memory isn't formatted at the factory meaning you have to format the internal memory card before it will be seen by a personal computer. Once that's done plug it in via a USB cable and Microsoft Windows (I tested Vista and Win 7) will show it at a storage location and you can drag and drop files. The resolution is fine and the brightness is good. No stuck or dead pixels discovered on the four I bought. The white plastic frame pulls off to reveal the clear one below. The clocks and calendar are nice but they don't rotate in with the pictures so it's one function or the other. There are many available transitions between photos. The audio sounds pretty good from the two small speakers in the back. The volume control is easy to use. There is no timer to turn the frame on and off on a schedule like on the more expensive Phillips line Philips 8-Inch LCD Photo Frame (White)...

It's pretty much plug and play. There's other features within this product, but i dont really use it. I leave it to it's basic, load pix on a storage device (memory stick), plug it into this digital frame, and play. I'm not sure if this can automatically detect if the photo is portrait or landscape and adjust according (like rotate it), but it doesn't impact me either way because my computer detects it and fixes it while my pix are uploaded from my camera....

It has since died and you can no longer see the pictures. When I called Customer Service, they told me to reformat the SD card. The only problem with that is the frame doesn't work even if I take out the SD card. I use it at work so it is only on Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm. I would not recommend this frame!...
