This review is from: Sony DPF-D710 7-Inch WVGA LCD (16:10) Digital Photo Frame (Black)I finished a project that involved scanning thousands of old color slides and photographs, and I wanted to use this frame to display some of them. The files were saved in an acceptable format and transferred to an SD card for use in the frame. The SD card works and displays them just fine on my PC. When I fired up the digital frame, however, all that is displayed is question marks where the photos should be displayed. It knows how many photos are on the SD card; it just won't display any of them. After doing some "Googling", I found that others have found that this frame will not display pictures that have been modified by any software program (PaintShop Pro in my case). That makes this product entirely useless, in my opinion. So if you're planning to just take the card out of your digital camera and put it into this frame you'll probably be fine. If you're planning anything other than that, look elsewhere. This frame will not work for you. Sony sure isn't what it used to be......

This review is from: Sony DPF-D710 7-Inch WVGA LCD (16:10) Digital Photo Frame (Black)Great digital frame. I recently purchased this as a gift. The product was originally sent via USPS and it never made it to me. Amazon was contacted after I worked with my local USPS to obtain/track package with no success. Amazon customer service was fantastic in promptly handling this issue; and the ordered frame was received via UPS days later. The frame is great, easy to load photos and great quality. The only negative is the lack of an internal battery. However frames that have the internal battery that can be unplugged and passed around are a little more expensive. Great product for the overall value. I would highly recommend this frame....

This review is from: Sony DPF-D710 7-Inch WVGA LCD (16:10) Digital Photo Frame (Black)I gave this as a birthday present to my wife. She's computer literate but not overly savvy in figuring out "techie items." I was pleasantly surprised to find all the features/menus very user friendly. She had the picture frame up and running in minutes and lots of pics of our grandson showing. Then, she really also liked the simple, stylish clock face she could switch to. All in all, we are very very pleased. This product is just great! PS We purchased a larger frame from an "unknown" manufacturer several years ago and it has fallen into disuse as it was very cumbersome to configure and use. There may be less expensive dpf's on the market (but this was a great price, too), Sony has proven again why often times, though, you get what you pay for!...
