This review is from: Philips 8FF2FPB/37 Digital Frame 8-InchBought this PhotoFrame for my Mom's birthday. She's pleased with it. The resolution is decent, the controls are not extremely confusing to her, and it displays the photos she likes. If the recipient is not tech savvy, it may be a little bit of doing for them to load the photos onto the SD Card or other memory stick. The PhotoFrame has options for display length and random or sequential photo choice.Overall a good Electronic Photo Frame for the price....
This review is from: Philips 8FF2FPB/37 Digital Frame 8-InchThis gift was on my to do list for some time, yes I procrastinate. When I finally used it I was impressed at how well it worked (I was surprised to see a review that was negative) The Image quality is great and there are enough options to customize playback, although I'm sure there are some special features on other units but this makes a good simple and hi quality unit....
This review is from: Philips 8FF2FPB/37 Digital Frame 8-InchI bought this for a birthday present and after doing some research, and this digital photo frame had everything I was looking for. I wanted a 4:3 ratio, (this one can be both a 4:3 or a 16:9 and for the high pixels. I didn't need all the bells and whistles like mp3 player or a video. I first tried to put it on my current computer that had vista and it wouldn't recognize the frame. I thought it was because vista is quirkie like that, so I tried it on my older computer that has XP and SAME thing! I hooked up an external hard drive thinking maybe its my USB port but it read the hard drive just fine. I then looked under the device manager and it stated "unknown" so I tried to troubleshoot, said it needed a driver, well this doesn't come with any CD's nor does the website offer a driver to download SOOOOOOOOOOOO i finally broke down and called customer service, and the guy pretty much did what I did and just told me I can use my camera as a mass storage device and put my pictures from my computer into my camera....and I was like 'rEALLY?!?!" I tried that but my camera didn't read as a "mass storage device" so i couldn't do it that way either! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to make a VERY long story short, I ended up NOT giving my hubby his birthday present and going to exchange for a different one!...
