Average Customer Review:
This review is from: Pandigital PAN1200DWFR 12-Inch Digital Picture Frame (Espresso)I was only able to write about 50 mb of photos to the one gb of internal memory. I can verify the available space but receive "no space" errors when I try to import. Customer has not been responsive - gave up on phone service after being on hold a half hour and have not received responses from email. Pictures look great when viewed from memory card or flash drive but if you're looking for internal storage or customer service look elsewhere....
This review is from: Pandigital PAN1200DWFR 12-Inch Digital Picture Frame (Espresso)The picture frame arrived from Amazon very well packaged and in good time. I purchased this particular picture frame for its large size and large internal memory. The frame comes with a 1GB internal memory which holds many pictures depending on what resolution they were originally photographed in. The frame also has flash memory input and SD memory card input. All in all, the picture frame will hold as many pictures as one is willing to purchase memory for.Setup was fairly straightforward using the enclosed instructions. However, initially the remote did not work. I made sure the battery was uncovered and positioned correctly back into the remote per instructions. After repeated tries I discovered the mat around the frame was blocking the infrared eye on the front of the frame. I disassembled the frame and used an x-acto blade to cut the hole in the mat. It is a critical cut as it will be seen from the front of the frame so care must be taken. This important step was not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. The infrared eye now recognized all commands from the remote. The remote has a very short working distance perhaps 2 feet or less and must be used straight in front of the frame. The menus are all accessible by remote and also manually at the top back of the frame. The menus are basic and easy to get through. One note is the inability to scan through menu items by holding a button down continually. To scan using the remote, one must push a button each time to move forward or backward which can be time consuming. There are many different ways to program the frame and I chose a picture display to start at a particular time each weekday and run for a couple of hours and then shut down. One can program the frame to also run on weekends or both. There are random effects programmed when moving from one picture to another which keeps the slide show fresh daily. The frame will also display a picture within a calendar and the time of day. There are quite a few other items the Pandigital digital picture frame is capable of, but I have not chosen to use them at this juncture. The remote can be stored magnetically on the back of the frame while not in use which is a nice touch resulting in no clutter! The frame can be connected to your computer with a USB cable (not provided) and loaded with pictures stored. It is as simple as drag and drop. One can load and/or delete the internal memory, card memory and flash memory while connected to the computer. I would have given this frame a 5 star rating had the menus been quicker to navigate, the instructions would have included a note mentioning cutting the mat board and the remote was more powerful. Other than those mentioned, I would rate this a 4 and 1/2 star item if such a rating existed! In conclusion, the Pandigital Digital Picture Frame is a very nice and attractive product for displaying digital pictures. It seems to be nicely made and renders colors very well. It is large enough in size to see in a good sized living room and it is fairly easy to program. It has a few nuances, but I would definitely recommend the Pandigital 12 inch digital picture frame for those looking to show off their digital works of art....
This review is from: Pandigital PAN1200DWFR 12-Inch Digital Picture Frame (Espresso)Received this frame as a gift and was disappointed with the image quality. At first, I was stoked the panel size was 12" but was surprised to find the screen resolution was only 800x600, making my images really blurry. I would expect no less than 720p for a panel of this size. The frame claims it can store up to 5000 photos but there is no actual storage size listed on the box, very misleading given the storage space is dependent on the size of the image (Amazon page indicates this frame has 1GB of memory). The frame also claims that it plays videos but it's not really compatible with most video formats but rather motion jpegs. I can't even play videos I took from my digital camera on this frame! Why make the claim the frame can play videos when it can't even play standard videos? Lastly, the WiFi element is somewhat ridiculous because I'd have to buy an additional adapter to connect - not a fan. My sister had purchased this frame from Costco - thank goodness for their awesome return policy!...
