Now granted, the 480x234 resolution is nothing spectacular, but this is par for the course for 7" photo frames in this price range. When used for what it is: providing some photos as part of room decor, it's great. The frame looks simple and clean, doesn't pretend to be something it's not. The one-piece front cover is easy to clean and protects the LCD from jabbing fingers of friends and relatives.There's an auto on/off feature - I have it set at the office to turn on about when I get there, and turn off about when I leave. What an awesome feature.Don't underestimate the video playback feature. This frame plus a AC inverter in the car is a cheap, temporary, but very effective back seat entertainment solution. I've loaded up a 8GB thumb stick with hours of cartoons and my kids stay quiet for a long road trip. I don't imagine the designers envisioned this usage, but it sure works well.This frame isn't particular excellent at any one thing, but the combination of features, usability, and low price, makes it a good product....

Prior to wrapping it, I took it out to make sure that I could use it before I gave it to her, plus I wanted to give it a test run. I loaded 80 or so hi res jpegs and one song onto a flash drive to try it out. The Good:-Ease of use-Image quality is decent-Setup menu is user friendlyThe Bad:-Audio is terrible if you turn it up past 1-The remote is super-cheap and feels like you're going to break it every time you push a buttonOverall it's a decent frame, but I think $50 for it might be steep. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars if I could....

For this purpose the frame is and was perfect. Despite only listing below the few negative things I've found so far, my opinion is that it is actually a really good product, well worth the money, and would gladly recommend it to anyone on a budget looking for a quality digital frame. It does everything it is advertised to be capable of doing. Cons:i don't think there's a way to transfer media to the frame without an sd card or flash drive.the volume is controlled solely by the little remote control.the manual could be better at explaining the different functions of the frame.If it wasn't for these three things I'd have given this product 5 stars. Still very good, tho....
