Try as I might, I found the only way to perform the swap was to break the plastic bezel that was adhered to the digitizer.Having said that, the replacement looks as good as and is every bit as functional as the original....

This review is from: Pandigital 16MB Digital Snowglobe - Silver (1.8")I've tried a few different digital items, like a digital key chain (bad); a digital ornament (too small) frames and this snow globe. The 1st thing that I was worried about is how get a image into the item and how do I do it without cutting off peoples heads. With my digital key chain it was just a guess and many trial and errors to finally get something in it worth keeping. Well this software figured it out. It automatically comes up when you plug it in, and when you transfer an image - it already has the cropping lines on the picture so all you have to do is drag it around until you've got the look you want. It's the WYSIWYG. And that's part is worth everything right there, what a time saver.The color and brightness is the same as my monitor too. I've had digital picture frames that were terrible in this regard, so you had to play with each picture before you downloaded them so that they would look good.The one strange thing with this snow globe is after you plug in the USB cable into your computer, you tilt it to the left to view the pictures already in it, and tilt it to the right for the software to transfer new pictures to it. That took me a few minutes to figure that one out.And lastly I like that it's got snow in the globe instead of glitter like so many globes have these days - it's like the ones when I was young....

The snow and changing pictures in the globe just look awesome !! although I dint remember seeing music; the snowglobe does come with jingle bells music pre-loaded. Two notable things: a) The globe had to be tilted towards the laptop for the photo-share to begin.. Though unaesthetic, it was not a problem. b) The digital photo share software is compatible only with Windows XP and Vista as far as I checked it !!Overall, the product is a great one; with much more variety and vigor compared to a snowglobe with a single picture....

I wanted to buy him a snowglobe for christmas, but every snowglobe in stores had glitter instead of snow in them. Since when are they called Glitter globes?? I found this one during christmas and wanted to buy it, but it was out of my price range. I just bought it for him for father's day, becasue the price dropped almost 50%. I was not disappointed with it. The snowglobe looks exactly like the picture, the digital screen is clear, and I love that there is SNOW in it. To top it off i was really happy you could turn off the christmas music, becasue I was not giving it to him for christmas anymore. Adding the pictures was very easy. I would definetly refer this product to my friends. It is a unique gift. Everyone has seen digital picture frames, but who has ever seen a digital snowglobe?? :-)...

Note: there is a learning curve with this. It takes a while to figure out what the icons on the remote mean. The manual is fairly helpful, but its credibility suffers when "folder" is repeatedly misspelled as "floder".Note: has no (virtually none)internal memory. The Coby DP1042 is the same frame with 1GB of internal memory for $20 more. Not worth it when a 2GB SD card can be bought for $10....

The 600x800 resolution is good, but the backlight is not bright enough to see in a brightly lit room. The viewing angle is ok. It is fine from the sides but not from bleow. This limits the places you can mount the frame. The cord is also a bit short. The biggest issue with this frame is the manual. It is pretty sparse and doesn't tell you exactly how to use all the features. If you are at all technically inclined, you'll be able to figure it out. If not, find a teenager to show you how to use it....

Only two 'shortcomings':1. The memory card slot is shared for SD, MS, etc. It wil take all four formats, but only one at a time. Not really a big problem.2. The operations are not intuitive, and I really needed to experiment for a while to figure out how to get what I wanted perfectly. Again, not a huge problem, it will do almost anything you want, but it may take you a while to figure out how.I nevertheless gave it 5 stars, because of the excellent price! It's considerably less than any other of comparable quality. (The high price ones usually are easier to operate)Don't get this for anyone who is technically totally inept, but if they could program their VCR, they can figure this out... And the quality is as good as the higher priced ones....

This review is from: Sony NPFD1 Rechargeable Battery Pack (Retail Packaging)This NP-FD1 battery is of the same size and capacity as the NP-BD1 battery that came with your Sony digital camera. This means it's slim and takes the same number of shots. The difference is the FD1 is an "InfoLithium" battery (Sony's trademark) and it tells you the approximate remaining minutes on the camera LCD screen. This estimate is not completely accurate, but does give you a rough idea of how much longer you can use your camera before battery runs down. Note that the indicator is number of remaining minutes, not number of shots.BTW, while generic replacements for the BD1 battery abound (but I don't recommend using a non-OEM LiIon battery for safety reasons), I haven't seen one for the FD1, presumable because this one uses Sony's proprietary time-estimating technology....
